Order Cancellations/Changes

We are a rapid shipping facility and as such order cancellations are not guaranteed. Should you need to request a cancellation, please complete this Order Cancellation Request Form as quickly as possible after placing your order. 

We are not able to make changes to existing orders. To make a change please place another, separate order or request a cancellation of the original order.

Undeliverable or Refused Packages

Undeliverable or refused packages happen despite our best efforts. We strive to make every experience a pleasant one for all our customers and proactively monitor shipments.  When we can, we send emails to advise of actionable issues. 

The need to Refuse Delivery or request a Return to Sender happens, contact  Berkey Customer Service to determine if an RMA or order cancellation is possible. 

Unexpected packages returned to us will incur a $17.60 return fee imposed by the carrier and up to a 20% handling fee. These fees will be deducted from the amount refunded.

Missing or Damaged Items

It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect their order once it is received. If items are found to be missing or damaged, notify us within 30 days of receiving the order to be eligible for replacement. Claims of missing items or damaged items after 30 days of receiving your package will not be approved.

For damaged items, send an email to customerservice@berkeyfilters.com with the following details:

Subject line of email: Damaged Item - (Your Order #)
Provide a detailed message documenting the damage. Lack of detail may delay the processing of your claim if we need further information.
Attach a photo of the item clearly showing the damage, not just the packaging.
If applicable, attach a photo of the damage to the shipping box.

Our carrier policy allows for eight calendar days to investigate damage claims.  We proactively monitor these investigations and ask that our customers cooperate with any carrier request to inspect or share information about the damaged shipment.  Delays or denials happen when our carrier cannot complete their investigations.  Approved claims for missing or damaged items will be processed in 24-48 business hours.

30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

Berkey Filters encourages customers to test products once it is received. For this reason, we accept returns of products in new or used condition. If not satisfied with the purchase, for any reason, within 30 days of receiving the package, please contact Customer Service for a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA #). Packages received without a RMA # may be charged up to a 20% handling fee. Returned items must be in their original packaging, with all included parts and literature. 

A return label can be provided for a flat fee of $14. The return label fee will be deducted from the refund. A return label can only be generated if the customer's physical address is within the United States.

Customers may also choose to return through the carrier and shipping method of their choice, at their expense.

Original shipping charges, if applicable, will not be refunded.

Please allow 5-10 business days, from the date we receive your return, for a refund to reflect in the original form of payment used to place the order. If an eligible purchase included a free item, the free item must also be included in the return. Free items not returned will be billed as a deduction from the final refund at their full retail value.

The customer must obtain and monitor the tracking number for any items coming back to us.

Does not apply to final sale items/Scratch and Dent Systems.

 

Exchanges

If you wish to exchange your product, simply return your existing product per the return instructions above and order the replacement product. 30 day return and other limitations apply. See Returns section for details.

Our Warranty – Beyond 30 Days

Returns will not be accepted after 30 days of the purchase.

BerkeyFilters.com Lifetime Warranty

For our customers, who purchase new stainless steel system(s) from this site, berkeyfilters.com, we offer a lifetime warranty. Includes: Travel Berkey, Big Berkey, Royal Berkey, Imperial Berkey, and Crown Berkey.

There is no need to register. To file a warranty claim, all that is needed is the order number. Please keep this number saved.

If at any time the unit housings, standard spigot, washers, hole plugs, knob, or wingnuts of the stainless steel Berkey system fail, in any way, due to defects in materials or workmanship, contact Berkey Filters.

The Lifetime warranty does not cover damage caused by carelessness, accidents, or abuse/unintended use of the system. This warranty does not cover filters or Scratch and Dent units. This is an exclusive offer to our valued customers from BerkeyFilters.com and is in addition to all other stated warranties. 

Standard 2-Year Warranty, Prorated at 6-Month Intervals

The Black Berkey Purification Elements and stainless steel unit housings are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a two-year period, prorated in six-month intervals.

Standard Manufacturer 6 Month Warranty

All other products, including, PF-2 Fluoride Filters, parts, and accessories are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for six months from the purchase date.

Final Sale Items

Items marked as final sale are ineligible for returns or refunds. Final sale items may not be exchanged for cosmetic reasons or any other reason beyond that. Final Sale items are covered by the manufacturer warranty for defects in materials and workmanship.

    Shipping

    We offer free shipping on all orders to all 50 U.S. states.

    All orders eligible for free shipping will be shipped by the carrier of our choice. 

    For the fastest delivery times please enter a physical shipping address. Deliveries to P.O. boxes may take longer. 

    To have control over the shipping method or require a specific carrier, the customer may have to pay for shipping during checkout. 

    Please note, orders $500 and greater require a signature upon delivery, this is to prevent stolen packages and is at no additional cost to the customer.

    Canadian Shipping

    The customer is responsible for any customs, brokerage, or other fees that may be incurred because of the merchandise crossing the Canadian border. Taxes and fees may change based upon your local address. Customers may need to visit their local Canadian Post or local pick up site to retrieve packages.     Expedited Shipping

    We offer an expedited shipping method through UPS Next Day Air Saver, which delivers Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.  We make every effort to ship orders placed before 1:00 p.m. MST during the week, on the same day.

    Sales Terms

    We accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover). Orders paid for by major credit cards will be processed the same day if the order is received by 12 pm MST. Orders paid for by credit card after 3 pm MST will be shipped the next business day.
